Fulltext PDFA 37-year-old female with a history of ectopic pregnancy was found to have vegetation in the mitral valve and diagnosed as infective endocarditis. After emergency mitral valve surgery and 6 weeks of antimicrobial treatment, she was discharged home. Prompt diagnosis and early involvement of multidisciplinary team are prerequisite for successful outcome in this case.
